Christian Malford Church of England Primary School is a small rural school in a Wiltshire village which serves the local area and the growing traveller and services family communities in the wider area. With approximately 75 pupils age 2-11, the children are taught in mixed-age classes and through stage-related approaches to learning, ensuring that all pupils gain the skills valuable to their own learning needs. In its latest SIAMs report, in which it achieved “Good,” the school’s Christian values were commended for successfully enhancing pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Christian Malford has also been awarded “Good” in all areas by Ofsted, who described the pupils as happy, confident learners that are enthusiastic about their learning. The school became part of the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust in December 2013 and formed an alliance with Seagry and Somerford’s Walter Powell schools in September 2016. These three village schools share a leadership team and Local Board, which enable unique opportunities to share practice and facilitate collaboration across the academies.
