Seagry Church of England Primary School is a vibrant village school in Wiltshire with pre-school provision, serving approximately 45 pupils age 2-11 from both the village and the wider local area. There are three mixed age classes: Pre-school, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The children are taught in a stage-related curricular approach to develop their skills at their own stage of learning, to ensure embedded learning appropriate to each and every child. The school has been awarded “Good” in all categories by Ofsted, who highlighted how strongly the wide curriculum is valued by pupils and parents, especially the regular opportunities to learn outdoors. Its was also hailed as “Good” in its latest SIAMS report, which stated that Seagry is “effective in nurturing good attitudes to learning so all can achieve their God given talents.” In September 2016, the school joined the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust and partnered with Christian Malford and Somerfords’ Walter Powell academies. This family of three schools collaborate with a shared leadership team and Local Board, with a strong partnership between children, parents, carers, staff and the local churches of all three.
